§ 94     Director of Finance

The Director of Finance shall be the chief financial and accounting officer of the City. The Director of Finance shall have charge of the Department of Finance and the administration of the financial affairs of the City, including the maintenance of all accounting records; the collection, audit, custody, safeguarding, investment and disbursement of City funds and moneys; the preparation of budgets and annual appropriation measures and the monitoring of City revenues and expenditures; the preparation of periodic financial reports; the making and collection of special assessments; the issuance of licenses; the collection of license fees; the control over expenditures; the purchase of all goods ands services needed by the City; and other duties as the Council may by ordinance require.
