This is such a tempest in a teapot, and so arbitrary. We haven’t talked about suburban representation relative to each ward, nor have we talked about organizations like Pittsburgh’s.

Bill Applegate was on the tube this afternoon, delivering a cheap-shot diatribe that would put even Mike Trivisono to shame, and soliciting commentary. All I could think of was a variation on that line Dan Akroyd used on SNL with Jane Curtin: “Bill, you ignorant slut…”

This idea doesn’t even lend itself to polite discourse any more. It’s just plain dumb, and a diversion, but consider the source.

the GCP must be kidding–this is getting just too obvious–another abrogation of the rights of the residents of the city to ease wheeling and dealing among the cognoscenti

to even ask for this, they telegraph that they think they’re playing with lightweights–

let’s see how it plays out
